Hello fellow Stang owners,
The man from Down Under here!

I'm wanting to source a set of Genuine SSR Professor SP1's for my Japanese-Delivered SN95.
It's a 1994 GT, currently sitting like a 4x4 at stock height, on a set of 35th Anniversary 17x8's - which have an offset of ET30.

There's a set in the shadow chrome colour that I'd like (they would go well with Deep Forest Green, in my opinion), but they're interstate.
Test-fitting is sadly not an option!
They are a staggered set, 18x9.5 (ET12) & 18x10.5 (ET18).
I am curious how well they would fit my Mustang.
I have full intentions of lowering it approximately 2 inches.

They have tyres fitted to them already, 235/45 front & 245/45 rear.
Which I would likely have to replace, the sizing isn't optimal.

Appreciate any advice/answers, in advance!
Pictured below is the set for sale & a rough idea of the desired look:

PS: Centre bore of the SP1's is 79.5mm, though SSR sell pairs of hub-centric adaptor's to suit the SN95's 70.3mm bore, so that's a non-issue.

Because of loose production tolerances, it’s hard for anyone to be 100% sure what will fit your specific car. Mods also make a big difference in how much room you have for wider wheels & tires. I highly recommend going to www.willtheyfit.com and comparing the wheels & tires you plan to use to your existing setup. You'll be able to see how much closer the wheels & tires will be to the struts, quad-shocks & fenders.

Keep in mind that, despite being listed as the same size, different brands of tires can vary in size. Look at the specs for the tires you’re considering on Tire Rack. Find the Rim Width Range & the Measuring Rim Width. The MRW will let you know if the tire you want will be pinched or stretched on your wheels. There are advantages and disadvantages to pinching or stretching.

It's also worth mentioning that lowering an SN95 2" will hurt the handling of the car. And adding a staggered wheel & tire setup will increase the tendency to understeer. If you plan to use your car for performance driving, different mods will make it handle better.

There are various offset calculators out there that you could plug in.

but from what I can see by the numbers I enter in, the front wheels will poke about 37mm more than where they are now, and the rears will poke 44mm more and have about 20mm more on the inside. You'll have to so some mockup to determine if that will fit ideally for you. I think the front might be a little too much given it will stick out almost 1.5" more than where it is now.

Not exactly apples to apples, but I run a 18x9 +35 offset wheel on the front of my '00.
