quick question

    When you are dropping a tranny should you loosen the engine mounts?

    I didn't, you can just put a jack on the front of the engine to tilt it back if you need to.

    When I pulled my tranny yesterday my heater core hose gave out and someone told me it wouldn't of happens if I WOULD of loosend the motor mounts.

    i'm not sure that has anything to do with it. I've pulled my trans a few times and I never loosened the motormounts to do so.

    Loosening the mounts makes it easier to get to the top two bolts. Did it on mine when we just replaced my trans.

    My top two bolt where a piece of cake after the coolent shower.

    Lol that means the hose was bound to break sooner than later.

    Ya. I'm glad it did brake when it did.
