Well . . I'm racing in the morning on the new converter. I had a Hughes 5,400 stall and went to an Edge 6,000 stall that was custom built for my car. The ET analyst software says the converter change is good for high 9.60s . . . we'll see.
Yeah, that's what the transbrake/2 step combo allows. All he has to do is push a button to engage the transbrake, which locks first and reverse gears together to create a sort of braked nuetral, allowing the engine to rev freely, but not allowing the car to move anywhere. Then he just mats the throttle and the rpm will shoot to the rev limiter, then all he has to do is release that little button, and it's hold on to your ass from then on out. Our car has a reverse pattern C-4 with brake also.
