Just wanted to see what yall thought... changed my spark plugs today on my 2003 Mach 1 with 43k on it. How do they look? I assume they're from the factory...

Those don't look horrible by any means, from the chart posted I'd say they fall under "normal"

I don't know think NGK's came stock but I could be wrong. They don't look bad though. I've seen ones that were black.

I was surprised how "normal" they were, I used a flash light to peak down into the cylinder and all the pistons had zero carbon build up.. sweet!

I think they look pretty good. They all are similar, none stand out. On mine, the drivers side, closest to the firewall always looks a tab more heated. I should do the head cooling mod, but that's a big project.

I use Autolite 104's and change them once a year. When I switched to these, my tune ram smoother and without pinging.

Carbon is a direct result of your A/F ratio burning in the combustion chamber. If your A/F ratio is rich or you have an oil leak then you will get carbon buildup. So without knowing anything about your setup, I'm going to say, your vehicle is running well. To get a true indication of what's really going on inside your combustion chambers and engine I use a scope:

FYI: Bare Tool means no battery or charger
