Were they busy? I was just talking to a local painter today who's been so busy, he's been quoting everything at ridiculous prices just to scare them off because he's got more than he can work on at the moment. Maybe not the best way to do business but he's had a couple people agree to the price and drop their cars off... guess you can do that with a good reputation haha.

Had mine welded in for $100 but that was over 15 years ago Wouldn't expect to pay more than $200 now.

Since I can't believe anyone would be foolish enough to pay that insulting amount that I was quoted, you can put that dream to rest.
