99 GT with stock 3.27:1 LSD. Car has done 220k, outer axle bearings / diff fluid changed in 2020 at 210k miles (not used much last few years).
When driving there is a speed related noise, at slower speeds (10-20mph) you hear a distinctive slow "wub wub wub", speed up and it gets a must faster "wub wub wub wub wub wub" eventually at about 80mph it seems to fade out.
Jacked up the car on axle stands, run the car in drive at idle, listened around the rear, not wheels, not brakes, using "screwdriver stethoscope" method noise was clear on axle and louder when listening at the differential carrier.
Thoughts? Inner bearings / diff / pinion bearings - what do you think?
