Was wondering if anyone has any ideas about rear speaker deck ideas? I have the Mach 460 system in my 2003 gt. That bulky unit holding the amps is something I don't like.

You can hardly see it though. What did you have in mind like maybe a custom made box like people make for subs?

Yes something custom, easier to access than the 460 setup.

Found a setup where someone put speakers in the rear side panels. I like that idea a lot.

    Interesting...
Personally I don't like that too much but if I were you what I would do first before you start cutting things up is I would look for a convertible that had the mach 460 system. The amps are under the rear seats but the speakers are on the sides similar to the cobra you're talking about.

i know that the inside panels are WAY different but its a good starting point and im sure you can figure a way to put the screen that covers the speakers on the coupe panels

its not hard to remove the enclosure/amps and mount the speaker from the bottom.
