This is something thats always made me wonder. The rear suspension on my car is Eibach sportlines (no isos), and weight jacker lower control arms (thus, making the car lower). If you jack up the car without the rearend supported, the springs just fall out out place. (Shorter spring + lower mounting point on lower control arm = springs falling out).

Its just kind of an uneasy feeling knowing they can come out that easy. Has anyone done a mod that catches the rear end before all of the tension is off of the springs? I know NASCAR uses a strap or something so that when the car is jacked up, the suspension doesnt droop too much. Anyone done anything similar? Solutions?

In your opinion, do you think its anything to worry about?

If I lift my rear over 1.5 inches mine will fall out. I've never had any issues or worried about it. Just gotta remember when you're jacking the car up. Coilovers is a great fix to achieve the lo-lo without having to worry about this. Never hear of this strap method to catch the springs, probably cause most SN drivers wouldn't ever use something of the likes. If it was a common problem, maybe.

Ferocious gotcha. Kinda funny, I thought about you while writing this post because I knew you had mentioned somewhere that you're springs fall out. I almost tagged you in the original post lol. I don't know...sometimes I just wonder if I will ever come to a place of on even terrain where one side of the axle tucks and one side of the axle droops

It would be nice if there was a shock short enough to catch the rear end before the springs lose all of their tension

It wont happen unless you have cut springs, or weight jacker control arms.
g36 monkey RichV Im running Tokico HP shocks. And I dont really know if fox shocks are shorter. I think thats a myth. Ive always looked up specs of shocks and I always get the same length for sn95 vs fox

You won't find them... it only happens to people who don't build their suspension correctly.

Eibachs are talllll springs compared to what I've had in some of my crap. I had 3.5 coils cut on some stock springs and they never fell out for no reason, but as soon as I jack the rear up they'll fall right out. I do know that one guy at MW flexed his car out on a crazy inclined entrance and his spring fell out. It was hilarious.
