Hoping for a little guidance...
'98 GT with Eibach Sportline spring is what I have right now. The car is so low, the rear diff hits the under-body. It has cut the return fuel line once and was on it's way to do it a second time. I replaced that section of fuel line with a custom piece re-routed out of harms way, but still the diff hits the body with a bad bump and I would like to solve this. I also have a rear shock that is blown out and leaking oil.

My pockets aren't very deep but I would like to get quality stuff that will last so I was thinking of these to start...http://www.maximummotorsports.com/Mustang-Coil-Over-Kit-with-Springs-Front-Bilstein-Struts-P506.aspx.

I appreciate any guidance.

Sounds like you're missing your bumpstop. The rear axle/dif is not supposed to hit the body of the car, that's why we have a bumpstop located right above it.
If you want you can order a shorter bumpstop from maximum motorsports to give the rear more travel.

I would also look into some new shocks. Sounds like they may be blown and causing your rear end to bounce all over.

Come to think of it, while under the car last week I didn't notice any on the axle and you are right Ferocious the passenger side is leaking. The rear doesn't seem to bounce much that I feel but I am not sure how long it's been that way.

Any thoughts on the coilover kit, it seems a few folks recommend them.

Here are a couple pics as she sits minus the hood.

Maximum Motorsports makes an excellent coilover kit for the front and rear. However, you mentioned your pockets aren't very deep and I believe MM makes one of the most expensive (yet one of the best) coilover kits. If it's in your price range, i'd go for it. A good spring rate with some bilsteins on all 4 corners will be a nice, firm ride.

Good deal, I think I can do the Maximum kit, just can't do front and rear at the same time. I did link the front and not the rear but you knew what I was getting at... any recommendations on which springs to get?

If you e-mail MM, they will respond and help you with choices. They offer nothing but quality stuff.
Your new shocks will have bump stops, and you can add a new snuber too.

Thanks for that info Robb, I can see that being quite helpful in my decision. I will take the advice and contact MM and see what they would recommend.

The spring rate and length is all dependent on what your intentions are for the car.
For drag racing go with a soft spring. For track use go with a stiff spring. For a daily driver pick something in the middle.

Regardless, give MM a call and they will point you in the right direction like Rob said.

From the pics your car isn't that low to be slamming into the body all the time. Your shocks are definitely toast or you are riding around with some big uns in the back seat.

Hah, no big-uns lol and it doesn't happen all of the time but it does happen. I am sure both shocks are done considering the one is leaking. Great excuse to upgrade though.

just note the shocks aren't included with the coilover kit so you'll need those regardless. the car doesn't sit very low so i'd make sure the pinion snubber is in good condition and then maybe throw new shocks on there and see how it rides.

Thanks man, I feel it sits low because I scrape and rub over almost every speed bump I have been over, my rear tires rub the fenders as well.

The helpful info these good guys gave you regarding the pinion snubber will be in effect when going over speed bumps sometimes. I think I'm right is saying that MM happens to sell the most forgiving, flexible style too. They just seem to got it all!

No doubt, they have way more than I would ever need and everything I've heard is good about them.
