I know this has been discussed several times, but I did not see anything on using a spray tint to cover the dots at the top of the rear window. I see some people using black vinyl and some using black spray paint, but I have not seen anyone say they used a spray tint like people use on tail and headlights.

A spray tint would make sense to me to cover the dots at the top rather than a black paint.

Any reasons to not use the spray tint?

Choose your own adventure here. It may or may not look right depending on thickness of the coats. That said, literal paint could be better.

Mine had black vinyl on it when I bought it in 2006 and it held up until I peeled it last year.

Used flat back paint this afternoon. It was a quick job. Looks 100% perfect on the outside and 90% good on the inside. If someone took their time, that's the way to go.

Cleaned it up on the inside today. Buffed it with a kitchen scrubber to even it out. Looks 97% now.

I was reluctant to use paint, but glad I did. Easier than I thought and looks better too.
