those sizes would work just fine. you could also go with 265/35 if you want a little lower profile up front.

great. Nah I don't want the sidewalls to be too skinny. I love the way my 45 series sidewalls look. If only i could get 285s or 295s with a 45 series haha. 265s would stick out probably a tad bit too much for my liking.

Just remember that the "sidewall" size is the aspect ratio. So a 255/35-18 is going to have a shorter sidewall than a 305/35-18. Im going with 255/40 and 305/35 on my sallen wheels for a close to identicle sidewall. Check out this site and scroll down to "Tire Size Comparison Calculator", it will help alot.

I've 255-40-17 on the front and the sidewall is to small when compared to my 315-35-17's in the rear.
Once the fronts are worn out I'll be changing to 255-45's

265/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear. I want to go with a shorter sidewall in the rear next time

255/45 would be way too tall and I even think a 255/40 is too tall. I guess if you are keeping it at stock height it wont be as noticeable but that's just my opinion

I just don't see the point in a low profile tire that is so small like a 255, but we are all different

I think when your on the highway doing 80... it may tell you your doing 84-85 ... on my dads Shelby hes got 255... 295 and his speedo is 5 off after like 70mph or so... I don't think its anything too serious.. my cobra has the Nitto package with FRs from AM 265.. 285 and the speedo is off 5 around 80

Thats not bad.. I never get any where near 80 anyway.. I drive locally mostly, not much highway so thats why I went 4.10s too. Too many cops on the local expressway and highway to go any faster then 50-55.. I'm gonna be getting a speed cal too, so that'll help calibrate the speedo for the 4.10s

true.. I didn't notice the 5 mph difference on the cobra until I was taking a roadtrip to Maryland for Christmas following my mom and I asked how fast she was going and realized my sh!t was off... 5 isn't bad... highway is the only time it makes a difference so youll be good to go... and yea when you put the 4.10s in make sure you have the right speed thing otherwise your sh!t will be way off

Lmao.. Yeah 5 mph isn't bad at all. I'm gonna grab a speedcal off a guy on this site pretty soon, so it shall be as accurate as possible haha.

Go 255/40 and do 295/35. Will look almost identical. But if u were u 265/35 fit perfect up front and 295/35 are almost perfect depending on the wheel offset. Next tires i get im gonna go 255/35 and 285/35.

If you like beefy tires why are you rocking 18's? Haha, Would have made more sense to go with 17's with taller sidewalls to keep the car at the same height and not mess with the speedo.
