If you like beefy tires why are you rocking 18's? Haha, Would have made more sense to go with 17's with taller sidewalls to keep the car at the same height and not mess with the speedo.

Idk I like both looks. But 35 series tires all around are too skinny for me.. I want 40-45. I got 17s now, can't find any other wheels I care for honestly.

255/45 would be way too tall and I even think a 255/40 is too tall. I guess if you are keeping it at stock height it wont be as noticeable but that's just my opinion

This ^

A 45 sidewall on the front is way too much tire. I hate mine. I believe it's taller than my rears :(

great. Nah I don't want the sidewalls to be too skinny. I love the way my 45 series sidewalls look. If only i could get 285s or 295s with a 45 series haha. 265s would stick out probably a tad bit too much for my liking.

If you get 17s you can get a 295/45 in the rear which will give you that extra sidewall you're looking for.

You guys and your skinny tires! haha. I like low pros, but mines not low and skinny sidewalls would make it even more 4x4. Your nuts haha, your stance is beyond perfect, tires look fine. Idk what 17s i would get though thats the thing.. What brand makes 295/45s?

I believe MT makes a street radial in 295/45.

But if you're set on 18x10 with a big sidewall, a 305/40 will be perfect.

I do like big sidewalls, but only on the rear. Gives our cars a nice rake look to it without actually having the car leaning forward.

Yup I was just lookin at em. $260 a piece! I'd love a set of 18x9 and 10s. I could go with 255/45 and 285/40 for a closer, more even look. Yeah big sidewalls in the back look sick.

265/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear. I want to go with a shorter sidewall in the rear next time

Going with a 30 series sidewall in the rear isn't a smart idea.

I think a 255/45 and 295/35 would be perfect...

You guys need to remember about RPM revolutions per mile for tires. It will mess up your speedo and if your not careful you can set off your abs light with all these crazy tire sizes you all are listing.

295/40 is the absolutely largest size sidewall you should go with in the rear on a 18. A 45 would be absurdly large.

295 30 18's are NOT a good size for the rear. No sidewall and the tires are short as hell. They will also appear stretched. the extra sidewall of a 35 gives a little bit extra traction and they dont appear stretched very much. But I would not go 30 aspect ratio unless you go with a 315 or 305 width.

295 30's are just under 25", way too short for the rear imo. 295 35's are just over 26" which is perfect.

Here is the famous saying... If someone told you to jump off a bridge would you?

Read my previous post. It's not smart
just bc someone else does it doesn't mean you should to

I had them on my cobra and my dad has that on his Shelby.. speedo was off 3-5mph tops at like 100 and that was it.... pretty sure that isn't crazy

Well our cars It can do odd things like set of the ABS light and cause improper functioning of the ABS unit. If you wanna do that then by all means go ahead.

I guess you missed that part of my original statement.

I'm still rollin on 17s currently lol. I want 18s because they look better, and some 40 or 45 series sidewalls would be beefy enough for me. And I could use the extra ground clearance too lol

Oh shit double reply my bad haha

Yeah no one bothers to break down the sizes. And do a little math and true research on the subject.

So I just used that calculator. I can run 245/45/17s up front and 315/35/17s out back with no issues.
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
245/45-17 4.3in 12.8in 25.7in 80.7in 785 0.0%
315/35-17 4.3in 12.8in 25.7in 80.7in 785 0.0%
