Removing EGR advice

well i am planning on cleaning the engine bay up and i want advice i found you can use a 351 C fuel block off plate to cover it up nicely...but someone was saying something about lines to not throw codes ..? any advice? a walk through would be nice

I have my egr off, I have a metal cap on one end and I got fox headers without the connection. Yet I still have a stump and my EGR isnt completly removed 75% of its still there and I as well plan on completly removing it all so some feedback would be good.
