Yes I think it was, pretty sure it was after tuning the key and then the dash going dead. So now what do I do if it's tripped?

would it run with all of maf/o2s disconnected? If it were pats shouldn't it crank, start and then shut down right away? Have you tried giving the starter a thump?

The path I went down this afternoon, I jumped the starter relay in the fuse box and same noise and result, don't think it's PATS. Seems to be mechanical at the starter, the solenoid kicks but starter not turning. I turned the engine a bit by hand just to make sure it was free. So decided to take out the starter, still working on trying to get the top bolt loose, what a poor engineering choice that location is. Good thing no exhaust is hooked up but still no room to get any thing bigger in there or get any torque on the little 13mm wrench.

Forgot about thumping the starter with a hammer, thanks I'll try that tomorrow.

Thanks for the help guys.

The problem is the starter motor. I've been banging on it this morning and one point just jumpering the starter relay I got it to turn over the motor, then when I went to start with the key just the solenoid clunk more banging on it got it turn over again several times, turned on the key and the engine started and ran. Success finally, now to add coolant, tranny fluid and brake fluid. Hook up exhaust and drive shaft, drive it out of the shop! After all that I think I'll be done with it this year and finish it next spring, I have other projects to get done before winter.

Yesterday morning my neighbor came over and helped me bleed the master cylinder and brakes. I did a few more things later and then took it for a drive around the neighborhood. Right now I have an issue with the clutch, the engagement is way at the top and if I give it power after I'm moving it will slip. So I need to mess around with the clutch cable adjustment I think. Still have a starter issue, so need to deal with that also. Other then that it runs and drives great. I have more to do on it in the interior/ stereo and of course some rust repair and paint clean up.

Does it still have the stock pedal quadrant in it? Mine did that a long time ago and it was something with the stock adjustment on the pedal. I had to replace it with an aluminum quadrant.

Yes stock quadrant, its the entire pedal assembly from the other car which worked fine with this transmission/ clutch. I did use the clutch cable that came with this car.

In moving it, the stock adjustment might have gotten out of whack. That’s what happened to mine. If you get under the dash and reset the adjustment arm, then pull upward on the clutch pedal, it might get everything back in line.

I got the clutch cable adjusted with the stock quadrant, it had clicked into max tight before I had hooked it into the fork. Got most of the stockish exhaust all hooked up and over the rear axles, just need to extend both sides towards the bumper and maybe put turn downs on it. Took it for a little drive tonight and got up to highway speed, other then alignment it ran good.

Since the last post the car has been driven a couple of times, very fun car and don't even have the coilovers on it yet. Think the engine is better than the blue GT's. Since it has been sitting most of the time the rear passenger brake caliper started leaking, replaced it with the one I took off the the crashed car. My brother and I couldn't get a solid pedal after replacement, so I bought a power brake bleeder and took just minutes to get all the air out of the line. Wish I had bought one of these a long time ago.

Well 6 months later and after wintering in AZ till end of March I've been working on it again. Nothing like last years mad thrash of stripping two cars to make one good one, I'm only working on the cars when I have time because I want to do other things this summer.

I put in the coilover suspension from the crashed car and in the process I seen that the drivers rear brake caliper was weeping fluid on the caliper and brake shoes. So like the passenger side I grabbed the drivers side caliper and rotor I had sitting on the shelf of parts. After replacing I seen why it was weeping, the previous person that did the brakes didn't use two crush washers on the banjo bolt, only had the bottom one.

Also finished welding in exhaust pipes to go towards the bumper and put on turn down tips, nothing fancy and if you look you can see them just back under the bumper.

Lastly I removed the wheels and installed the extra set of factory Bullitt wheels and new tires that I got with the blue car. But first I painted the center spokes black like I did on the previous ones. I also put in the steering wheel extra airbag I had.

So only thing really left is to get a stereo in it, I have all the pieces to do this. Still needs rust repair on the rear quarter panel wheel arches, but may not even do that this year. So after all this took it for a quick drive last night. It rides and drives great!

Well I was not quit right when I said the stereo was all that's left. The ugly rear Cobra style rear spoiler was what was next. So started working on it a few weeks ago when I had time. Sanded it and applied filler in the low spots, at some point it cracked and a repair was done so that area was really bad. I primed it and did spot putty, it really needs more work on it but was trying do this cheap and quick. In hindsight should have just done it right the first time. Shot some rattle can Duplicolor and cleared it, buffed it out.

After doing all that work and just the car being in the shop it was filthy so today I washed it. With the spoiler back on and from 15-20 feet away the car doesn't look too bad. Still more to do when I get time.

Just when you're thinking you're getting ahead. Little over a week ago I drove it on a 100+ mile round trip, everything went fine. But noticed several times when going over over like driveway approaches I was hearing loud pop or bang sound up in passenger front. Diagnosing the issue after getting home, using a pry bar between the spindle and the A arm there was at least a half inch of movement in the ball joint. Yesterday my neighbor the mechanic came over with his ball joint press kit and we put in a new Moog ball joint.

A couple things from the drive were, really need to see if I can get the air conditioning functioning, need to get a stereo in it and I forgot to try the cruise control to see if it's working.

Still doing things with the car. First up I finally installed the double DIN touch screen stereo that came with this car into the blue GT, I had planned on doing this since I bought that car last July. The stereo that came out of the blue car is going into this car, along with the amp and maybe the 12" sub that were already in the trunk of this car. I might just use a smaller 10" sub instead to at least have some trunk space. Waiting on wiring harness adaptor. This is kind of tricky because I have the 2000 GT dash in this car( Why I can't use the double DIN) and that car had the Mach 460 system and dash wire harness. This car was a base non Mach system originally, so I just need to drive the four speakers. Ordered the amp bypass harness, looked like it had a couple of the right connectors I can use.

The blue car with double DIN installed.

This car with stereo that will be installed after I hook it up with the right connectors.

And finally I took the car to the local car show last night. Yes that's right, first car show for P.O.S. 2.0

Finished up my stereo install last week and hooked up power to the sub amp on Sunday. Nice to have tunes back in the car, right now just using the 10" sub but I think I'll swap it out for the 12" and at some point do the wiring to put the 10" and a amp in the blue GT.

I made a faux carbon fiber panel to blank off the spot were the Mach 460 CD player was. I designed and will 3D print a storage pocket to go in this spot and maybe figure out a way to make the panel I made as a door for it.

Had a chance last week to 3D print the storage pocket to fill in the space where the factory CD player was. Next I'll figure out a way to use the panel I made for this spot to use as a door for this.
