Has anyone replaced the dashboard in a 94/95 with a newer 96-98 or 99-04 one and if so how did you go around to dealing with the harness?

I didn't answer because I don't have first hand have experience but I read of people just taking the old harness and putting it in the new dash to ensure all the connectors are the same. It isn't all that uncommon for them to make a slight switch to a harness or something small that makes the harnesses not work.

I swapped in an 01-04 dash into my '00. I did it because the 01-04 has the proper double din mounting setup.

But it's fairly straightforward. The wiring harnesses all change, so best recommendation is to pull the harness off the dash you want to swap in,and sell it on ebay. Then, take your dash out, swap the harness over to the other dash, and reinstall. There are a couple videos on youtube. Label and take picss along the way.

94-00 and 01-04 are the two different dashes, other than colors. The difference is due to the radios, as the 94-00 has the two single din radios, and the 01-04 has the double din setup. The original 94 defrost switch location is retained in the 01+ dash even though the button moves and is covered up by the cluster trim.
