Reverse light wiring

Before cutting and splicing into one of the wiring harnesses I want to be sure that this black/pink wire on this connector, located in the passenger footwell, is the reverse light wiring?

so put it in reverse and measure the voltage/continuity to ground.

Yes I have that diagram pulled up with the thread it's in as well. The connector comes off of another harness that goes through a grommet on the firewall and out under the fender. It's a 97 gt.

drivers side fender? I will check my 94/95 electrical bible that shows all the pin-outs but with it being from a different year, and just because you always should check the wiring in some way before tapping into it. When I did alarms I had all the gm/ford wire colors memorized for a quick keyless entry install but I still tested each wire before I connected to it.

No passenger. I know the wire I am looking for is supposed to be black/pink but not much else. I will try to grab a few pictures when I get home

it is a different harness all together listed for my 94/95

What do you mean? Can you show me? Because the year of the car seems to make a difference on where things are located.

the c201 harness had nothing to do with the reverse wire on the 94/95. There was the motor swap between those years so I am not surprised that it would not be the same.

I do not believe that is the harness I'm looking for anyway as it states it's on the driver side

I have decided I am going to tear the center console apart to look for other harnesses and under the dash to identify the correct one.
