Pittsburg brand stand and the fitting looks to be a bit off center. Both lead me to believe that it's a Mississippi Man mod.
Never seent a engine stand with a zirk fitting, fancy.

Definitely not a mod by me! That’s just a new harbor freight stand. They come with grease fittings now, and the head clips on with a big snap ring. Pretty nice stand actually.

Started pulling the car apart today. I need the timing cover, cam covers, and camshafts for the new engine.

Then swapped the valve springs and seals on the other head. Got that head installed and got the oil pump bolted up. I am hoping to have the new engine finished up tomorrow. IMG_2610.jpegIMG_2611.jpegIMG_2612.jpeg

It’s really not terrible. I’ve done cam swaps in the engine a few times in the car. The most difficult part is the lower cam cover bolts on the passenger side, right by the strut tower.
Nothing's really terrible, but the thought is worse. My big thing is making sure I get everything OUT of the way. Just thinking of the Tiger I just worked on.

is that thing set back further than normal or has it been that long since I have had the front accessories and rad out of the car? It seems like a TON of space between the core support and the motor.

It’s in the stock 4.6 location. It definitely feels like a ton of room when it’s stripped down like this, but once the front cover and radiator go in, it’s pretty tight.
