I have discovered that all my tires are old lol. The drag radials are old and worn out. They helped, a little bit, over the bald street tires. Best time last night was 12.42 @ 115 mph. Ran a bunch of 12.5’s @ 116. Still couldn’t get the 60ft under 2 because I had to leave soft.

Kind of proud of the car though, I drive it to work all week and made 12 passes at the track, and nothing broke.

I did my axles when I was swapping out the brakes. One of those projects that started out expensive and seemed to keep going.

Price the axles for the irs. When you get to the big dawgs the price will make your eyes straight up pop out of your head!!!!! [emoji1787]

Went back to the track last night. Used some MT soft wall slicks this time. Car hooked good launching at 6k rpm. Got a 1.77 60’ but still only got a 12.05 @ 115. Really wanted the 11.99 pass last night but ran out of time. I guess the goal now is to have a dailyable mid to low 11 second car. We will get there.

Half the fun is getting the suspension dialed in :). You will get there!
There’s nothing dialable right now though. It’s got stock irs bilstein shocks in the back (which I think I blew one last night) and stock fox struts up front. I did play with tire pressure a good but though.

I'm here for it! Dial out those last few ponies and get the 28x10 tires and we are gonna see it fly! You can still take another tenth and a half off of that 60 foot especially when you set up the launch control.

Yup. Broke the #8 piston, I’m thinking a ring land gave up. Stuck a scope down the hole and the cylinder looks to be trashed. I’ll find out for sure, hopefully tomorrow.

Was you at the drag strip or just cruising around???

What’s the mileage on that block??

Well. I was making a pull in an undisclosed location. According to TREMEC calculator, 1:1 trans with 4.10 gears, 28” tires, and 7500 rpm, that comes out to be 152mph. It ran fine even after. It was the next morning when I started it to go to work, I could hear the dead cylinder. And it had a ton of blow by.
