How’s it running?? We’re those stock pistons or an upgrade??

Can’t really say yet, I’ve only got some idle time and about 4 miles on it. It’s not making any noises and no more blow by. I only replaced the one piston and ring set. Got the parts from the dealer, so it’s still all stock. I’m going to take it to work tomorrow and probably do a compression test on it at lunch time.

While I was putting everything back together, I managed to break a damn oil pan bolt in the block. Got it out though, it went really smooth and I didn’t even have to pull the pan. Kinda drilled on an angle though, just because there wasn’t enough room to get the drill straight.

Compression test looks promising. I checked 7&8, they are identical. I only pulled the #8 piston out. No smoke from the exhaust, no oil in the coolant, and no strange sounds while running. Might be good to go.

Lets think about it!
If your average rpm was 3000 and you drove 20min..... 3000 x 20 = 60,000 rotations and thats the piston sweeping down the cylinder once and up the cylinder once.....basically 2 sweeps per rotation. So thats 120,000 sweeps!!!

I want to know if the CTS reading from the cylinder head reads the same or lower with the addition of the head cooling mod.
