you really should put a coat of wax on it before you start installing everything. At least one coat...
I might have to do that. Break out the polisher and go to town. Make it slick as possible lol.
This looks fun! Gonna be a blast to drive!!
I sure hope so. With the added compression, gen 2 cams, and ported intake, I’m hoping to make that 10.99 pass next month.

Can confirm.

If you run 10.99 I’m going to be elated.

At that point we were waiting for oil pump gears. So couldn’t go any further. And somehow I managed to lose my other pictures from assembly. I got the oil pump put together and installed, then timed the cams. I did somewhat of a write up on how to tune the gen 2 coyote cams. I’ll link that here.

Went to put the clutch cable in and found out I didn’t install the clutch fork or throw out bearing. And of course the transmission can’t come off in the car without pulling the headers. So the engine and trans cam back out so I could pull the trans off and get the fork installed. FINALLY got that crap done and back in the car.

Got it all out together and kept trying to go to the track and do some tuning. The one time I did get there I only got to make 2 passes because of how many people were there. It did 11.60 with less mph than before so it needed tuning.

After this is was strictly daily driver status.

Then 26 Mar 22 it was yearly dyno day. The weather wasn’t as good as last years was and I needed more time to finalize the tune, but the numbers weren’t too bad over all. It did 450/410. I think it’s still got more in it. And that pretty well brings us up to speed. Since this point I have only been driving it. 3D48FF52-44A1-4B90-A914-4382BABD0B3A.jpeg

This is awesome. I’m glad it all came together for you!

So your gen 2 is a truck block and it was sleeved? Not the plasma thing Ford does?

I had a gen 1 truck block and it was sleeved. This replacement engine was a gen 2 block and it was also sleeved. The coated bores were in the gen 3 blocks apparently because the gen 1&2 truck and car blocks I’ve been in have all been steel sleeved.
