I think the master cylinder swap was a success. There is a little play at the top of the pedal (pedal travel) and then a firm pedal afterward, so going down one size got me the result I wanted.

Now then, today 5jul was dyno time. I went and rented some dyno time from the shop I used to work at. The car didn’t make the power I thought it was making, but it was going pretty fast. I got it dialed in and picked up some good power.

The first pull, with the tune that was in it, made 560/472. I did not touch timing as I think it’s safe where it is. I moved the intake cam up top, and picked up some power. Got it up to 576/478 on 93, then switched to e85.

The first pull on e85, with no tune change made 587/492. Then I started adding timing. Went from 16° up to 24°. I left it at 687/525, I think I could have squeezed a little more out of it. I was hoping to touch 700 wheel, but didn’t quite get it. It was hot as crap in the shop, on a cool day it’s 700hp no problem.

I think I need valve springs in it. It’s still got gen 1 heads, with gen 2 cams. It doesn’t like to rev out very far and doesn’t carry power up like a normal centrifugal setup.

Thanks guys. The numbers are alright, though I was expecting more. I’m confident that I could add timing on 93 and get 600 out of it, but it runs great on the street already.

I left the car on the trailer since Friday and towed it to work today in preparation to hit the track tonight. Found out this morning that the track is closed for re-paving.

So, I started ordering new wheels for the car. The Fr500’s have been great, and I’ve been glad to have them. Now it’s time for something new. Staying with 18x9 since my tires are brand new and fitting wider in the rear with the irs is difficult. I’m going to order a hubcentric spacer for the rear. They are +30 offset, so it pulls the front tires in just a touch. Exactly what I wanted, but that also pulls the rears in. No biggie. And they JUST clear the brakes.

WOW those are gonna look super dope! And them brakes are crazy close! They look terrific too! Was you able to get the same hub centric size to the spindle? Most times hub centric rings are needed with aftermarket wheels

They have a 73mm bore, and the spindle is 70. I’ve got some rings on the the way.

I like em, looks like a nice tight fit with the caliper. I know the first time I tried my new wheels after my big brake upgrade my butt was puckering so tight from trying to get it on without touching anything. I have got use to it over the years now but the first time especially was tense.

I got a tire swapped out to finalize fitment. I ordered 20mm hub centric spacers for the rear, to bring the wheels out closer to the fender. With limited offset selection in 9” width, I worked with what we had. As long as it doesn’t scrub on bumps, I’ll call it good.

Any suggestions for hub centric spacer brand sor vendors for stock lugs? I imagine they're the kind that have the extra set of press in lugs sticking out of them

No sir, this is my first time ever using a spacer

Edit: I’ll link the site I used to get my spacers. They fit really well, and they have the style spacer you want also. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again.

Thanks for the link! I appreciate it. The wheels with the spacer looks spot on.
