Ok...I'm trying to figure out what too do here. My problem is valve covers and rockers. My question is should I stick with my current Proform 1.6 ped mount RR's or get the stock 95 cobra 1.7 ped mount RR's? Reason is to clear the Proform I have to grind the crap out of my fox valve covers, or buy tall covers and get an intake spacer. Then I'm going to have hood clearance issues. So it'll cost me new valve covers 200.00, spacer 70-90.00, hood 300-500.00. More then I want too invest. Cobra RR's cost around 250.00 and I can use my fox valve covers. What would you do, or any opinions/options? Would I risk P/V clearance? I have the feeling I would be fine, since I'm basically building my version of a 93-95 cobra motor. Main difference is I will be adding a vortec or procharger next winter.

my build
306 flattop w/valve relief Pistons "stock stroke"
GT40p heads with upgraded springs and etc
stock pushrods and lifters
cam wolverine 1190: 212/222 493/510 112

What happens when replacing a rocker with another rocker of different ratio?

Answer, you affectivly alter cam open and closing events of the valves. Something to consider about your swap.

I ran tall valve covers with a 1/2" spacer and the stock hood. I actually still have the covers and would be happy to clear them out of the garage and heck have the 1/2" spacer as well(GT40/cobra intake). They are just polished stamped steel valve covers so $30 and they can be yours.

Do you have any pics? What type of rockers did you run?

sounds like it hit me with a pm if he is out and we will go from there.

The spacer would work and I think I have the bolt kit for it as well if you want it.
