Saleen Extreme Rainbow

I was curious if there ever were any factory 03-04 Saleen cobras made in extreme rainbow? I didn’t think so but I heard there was a single 03. I know there are 2 mystichrome coupes.

I remember seeing one of the extreme rainbow cars when I was at barret jackson years ago but I can't remember the year.

From what I know saleen made 19 extreme rainbows from 96-09.
I know in 96 only 1 was produced. I have seen a 99, 2000 and an 07 rainbows in person. I have no idea and have never seen any info on 03 or 04. Only 16 left after the ones I've listed but hard info to track down.
I know the paint was an $11,000 option in 2000 and by 2009 it went to $18,000.
You had to order that option Saleen never made any others unless ordered that way.
Saleen forums used to have great info but has since disappeared into the dead Internet.

That’s awesome I actually have yet to see extreme up close in person would def love to.

And yeah, I just haven’t seen any photo evidence on the internet of a 03-04 Saleen cobra in rainbow but I’ve seen two separate sources claim there was 1 in 03 so who knows lol

I wish I had spent more time admiring it, but as I was watching it a thunderous sound started up WAAAAAY on the other side of the tent and these were HUGE tents(think circus not camping). I could hear it but could not see what what making the noise and at once every car dudes(so everyone at jackson barret except for the wives that were drug along) head snapped to see what was making such beautiful noise. It was like a bunch of zombies as we all wondered towards the noise to see what it was. To my amazement it was an original GT40 from the 60s that a guy was sitting in giving it an occasional rev naturally with a big grin. Then he turned it off and said that yea is sounded ok.....

It was a long walk across the tent and I saw 3 or 4 more cars there I wanted to check out so I never did make it back to it.

Thanks for the info! Must’ve been awesome seeing those in person. I’ve seen pictures of the 07 I think looks gnarly.

And just FYI you can get the paint job from Saleen (and mystichrome) nowadays for a cool $30k

I'm not one to say this, but I'm pretty sure that car was meant to stare at. It's so good looking.

when they drive by it is pretty cool looking as they flash different colors. But with the price of that paint I know I would be WAY too concerned with paint chips and such.

In much of my research, I found Beryllium to be a fan favorite color- and I can see why. It is absolutely gorgeous
