Just bout 18x9 and 18x10 saleen rep chrome wheels for my sn95. I was looking up old threads about rubber and wanted to know what people are using now. Car will only used in the summer time only. Just daily use and cruising on the weekends.

I was thinking about using 265 /35 18 in front
And 295/35 18 in the rear.

Right now I have 265 35 zr18 all the way around on different wheels and it looks weird. ( Nexen N6000 ) Any thoughts? I don't have any rubbing issues now but if I go wider in the back will that cause an issue?

What type of rubber is everyone using nowadays? Top three rubber options?

Also anyone experienced pitting / corrosion on the inside of the barrel of wheel? I was going to try to use steel wool 0000 grade or sandpaper.

Thanks

I would think that would clear fine but look around in here for the old threads on here to be sure or maybe someone else can chime in. I’ve had 315/35/17 on the rear with no rubbing at all but it’s not lowered and it has no tailpipes so every situation can be a little different too remember that

Try a set of Nitto G2 tires. They are great for an all around daily driver with good grip and performance.
I run them on my car (Mach 1) in it's street clothes and they are nice.
For your car, I'd run a 265-35-18 front and a 295-35-18 rear. Will fit like a glove.

Yup, I ran Saleens and 265/295s for many years. No rubbing.
