So, the seatbelts on my '96 are in rough shape. The webbing is severely faded and frayed, and I am sure the strength of the webbing is compromised. In addition the retractors tend to bind up, and not retract the belt as intended. I plan to send them out to be reconditioned, with new webbing, etc. I haven't looked up close at the fitment in the car yet, and there is nothing of consequence in the Haynes manual. I am pretty sure the retractor is simply held in place by a large torx head bolt, but the upper mount is hidden by the plastic trim panels where the rear speakers are located in the back seat. Can anyone tell me what's involved with removing these panels without breaking the plastic. I have to assume that things have likely gotten brittle over the past 22 years . . .
