ok i am done had a tuff tim but one side is reading 109.5 and the other is 109 so i am dead on on the passenger side and 1/2 of a degree retarded on the driver side eh it really hard to not get off in that half of a degree so i am going to start putting it back together
Re: motor reassembly(new pics!!! alright so tonight I finished up my fog light I just had a couple bolts to tighten. Then I installed my timing cover a/c pump, powersterring pump, so the bottom is basicly done just need to get my fluid dampner back on now!!
Re: motor reassembly(new pics!!! but you gain more experience and knowledge if you do it yourself and save money
Re: now i am pissed!!! well i went to put my fluid dampner on and started torquing it down but didn't know how to keep the motor from rotating except for holding the cams guess what happened yeah that right my cam slipped now i am pissed and don't think that this is going to work it just mean the it will slip in the future when engine tourque is applied
Re: now i am pissed!!! i doubt the cams would ever have that amount of tq or pressure on them to make the cam gear slip. You used the cam to brace the entire rotating assembly... How bad did it slip? Are you gonna have to break it down again and degree them again?
Re: now i am pissed!!! I don't think that gear would ever move on regular engine use. Otherwise MPH wouldn't do it on their 700hp KB cars.
Re: now i am pissed!!! What did you tq it too? I would definately tq it alittle extra since you altered the keyway and use locktite.
