I need a 12mmx1.75 shift knob boot retainer which I can't find ANYWHERE. I have purchased 2 and both came in the wrong thread and didn't fit. I see the 12mmx1.75 listed and shown but upon further review, they are NOT 12mmx1.75 but are 12mm x 1.25. Or 1.50 at best. Does anyone know where I can find a REAL 12mmx1.75 shift knob boot retainer???

Maybe I'm not understanding what you're looking for, but in both my '95 and my prior '87, the top of the boot is/was simply slid over the shifter handle and held in place by the knob.

There wasn't one on the stock piece. I think Raceseng make some retainers but I am not sure if they are specific for their shifters.

My 87 and 95 are both like that also but, there is a grommet made into the upper part of the boot that keeps it centered on the shifter that sometimes either comes apart or gets loose and the boot won’t stay centered under the knob. Maybe that’s what he’s referring to needing it for as opposed to buying a new boot?
