Installed direct injected nitrous setup with WOT switch, running 100 shot at this time. When tuning the car after the pull throttle got slammed shut and clutch got depressed and engine was becoming flooded and killing the engine. Wondering on thoughts of shifting or just sending it and see what happens?

Turn the hey off? Going down the race track at every shift? I don’t believe that will be helpful

No, just the end of the pull on dyno it was flooding, not sure what it is going to do on the track during shifts, just seeing what others have experienced if anything

If it’s flooding while tuning it, I’d wager that’s it’s a tuning issue. Especially if it’s never done that before. And yeah I definitely would not run it like that.

Flooded only after pull was done on dyno, and throttle blade was closed

what else has been done other than nitrous? I would need to look it up but I thought I was running a gap of .035 because of the supercharger.

Pi head swap, custom edelbrock intake, stock cobra throttle body, 95 mm MAF, twin walburo fuel pumps, 60lb injectors, -10 feed and -8 return, custom exhaust

Very fat, but there was also no load on the engine at the end of the pull, not sure if that will make a difference when at the track

95 mm seems HUGE for this and I have been told that too big of a tb can cause some issues. I am not the tuning expert by any means and someone will certainly tell me if I am wrong.

TB and MAF should be fine, you’d be surprised how much extra air can be used when you’re spraying a bunch of nitrous.

Do you make sure the window switch is working correctly? Also, is it wired for the nitrous and fuel solenoids? I’m wondering if a fuel relay or solenoid is sticking.

PS: I have very limited nitrous experience, and just enough knowledge to get us all in trouble. I’m just spitballing ideas here.

I know for sure that it works kicking it all on, as far if I have a sticky relay I’m not sure. I was thinking that maybe the fuel left in the lines going to the jets was causing the issue. I am not an expert on nitrous either just didn’t want to do the normal and stick a turbo or blower on it.

I’m more so interested in how quickly the wot switch is shutting the solenoids off.

I’m not familiar with port nitrous, I guess it possible the fuel in the lines to the cylinders could be dribbling into the intake, but I don’t think that would be enough to kill the engine.

Do you have pictures specifically of how you have the nitrous setup on there?

I think I zoomed in and saw it. Nitrous and fuel and “Y” together at each runner. Are there fuel and nitrous jets at each port?

Yes nitrous and fuel y and go to solenoids, 4 cylinders feed by each solenoid, fuel and nitrous supplied to each runner on the intake, jetted for 100 shot. Center solenoid is purge
