note: this is for the MGW shifter but all are very similar.

If you have the MGW shifter like i do it comes with everything needed to install it(gasket maker, 3/16 allen wrench, bolts, lock washers)

Also, my directions are not as detailed at the ones that are included but there are so many pages that at first it seemed like it was going to be a long process so i shortened them.

1. remove the shifter boot
2. unplug the 12v connection in the back of the cig lighter

3. using a 10mm socket remove the two bolts from the stock shifter handle and remove the stick.
4.using a 8mm socket remove the 4 bolts holding down the dust boot and remove

5. using a 13mm socket remove the 4 bolts holding the stock shifter to the transmission
6. Now put the stock handle back on with the bolts removed in step #3 and move the shifter side to side(not back and forth) and then pull up to remove stock shifter

I wish i would have taken a picture of this step!!!!

7. With a razor blade clean away the old gasket being careful to not let it drop into the transmission.
8. Inside you will either find a cup or a snap on peice of plastic that goes on the shifter ball. If it is a snap on be sure to put it on the ball before installing the new shifter.
9. Apply new gasket maker
10. Back off the shift stoppers and install shifter and bolt down with new bolts that are provided.

11. put the shfiter into 3 gear and turn stopper until it touches the shifter then turn back 1 full turn. Make sure the shifter is going fully into gear then attach the lock washer and bolt to the stopper.
12. Repeat step 11 but into 4 gear for the other stopper.
(BE SURE THE SHIFTER GOES INTO ALL GEARS)
13. place the black rubber peice inside the dust boot(the very black part jsut below the handle in this picture) and place dust boot back into place and tighten down.
14 attach shifter and tighten with allen wrench.
15. adjust handle to the most comfortable spot for yourself.

16. reconnect the 12v connection and put the shifter boot back on
