i am doing a pi swap and i was thinking that i would swap headers. i dont want to do LT because i already have the rest of my exhaust. my question is it worth it to put on short headers.

the flow increase offered by the shorties is limited because of the design of the header, so you may get some benifit but it will be limited. Are you sold on not selling your current mid pipe and getting one for long tubes? Your gains will be better by far with the full lenght's

i cant afford to buy LT's. but i figures as long as i am swapping my heads it would be easyest to swap some new headers.

flow wise there's not much gain from shorties, but they sound better and look 30000000x better.

you may wanna look at getting longtubes for the long run...

equal length shorties flow better then the unequal shorties but not by much.... and i also found that the unequals are much easier to install .... i have friends that have problems with the spark plug wires touching the runners and burning right through the rubber with the equal lengths.... but the guys are right long tubes is the way to go i might be looking into them once i get this job

LTs aren't an option here in NY if you want to stay emissions legal, so not an option fo me. I would like shorties at some point also. The ones listed here are not ceramic coated and believe they will discolor as well once heated/cooled. Do they sell ceramic or jet hot coated versions?

well i did alot of research and i found that for what i am planning on doing it wont benifit me enough to go wtih shorties. i also dont have enough money to buy long tube headers so i think that i will stay stock for now. i need that cash to do my head swap and nitrous.

do equal length shorty headers...

they make more power and flow 10x better then shorties...

I don't think they're avaliable for the modular??

I hear you on the hedders, the stock manifolds actually flow pretty good.
I ran them after my PI swap for 3 years.
Good luck on the mods!
