I was in the JY today. 3 1996 V6 Mustangs.
1. The side scoop inserts were solid, no holes.
2. The side scoop inserts had holes but did not vent into the wheel well.
3. The side scoop inserts had holes and vented into the wheel well. The hardware and wheel well cutouts were clean and looked factory to me.
It was my understanding that only the 94-95 cars had the vented side scoops. Could these be early 96 cars and the changeover had not been made?
Of course after 20+ years who knows what is original and what is not.
I snagged a pair of the vented inserts, thought about putting them on my 97 Cobra. My solid inserts got over spray when the car was repainted, but its a lot of work to replace them. Maybe a future project.
