Slight chirp while idling - clutch pressure stops it?

THANKS for that link.
1) I love fabricating and making my own mods.
2) Not much to the spring and tubing reducers.
3) I like redundancy and will incorporate the spring mod while I'm shopping for the firewall adjuster.

Man, if I spent that much for an upgrade, The Pam would want to scalp me. BUUUUT, only until the first time she got stuck in traffic while she's wearing her high heel stilettos and standing on that clutch!! Bet that!

PS. Yo Naples, my son Gregory lives in St Pete (the nice side of town). Nice to meet another Floridian.
Cheers, Grego
I only had one because the po installed it on my 00 Gt. I think it’s overpriced for what it is, still a neat idea though.

Lol the nice side of town, I know that all too well. Have you been to Clearwater? My brother in laws parents used to live there. We went there when hurricane Irma came through and got to see all the scientologists. That was a sight… Yeah Naples is beautiful. I loved growing up here but it’s getting full of transplants from Miami. Ask your son about the people that live there, you’ll get why it’s not as nice as it used to be here.

I would imagine that was a sight to see I mean when Irma wants to see the scientologists no one or no thing is going to get in its way...

Clearwater is a nice place to live, but Gregory says it's too 'touristy', he's more of a Pass-A-Grille beach kinda guy. He also said he knows a guy that works maintenance at some condo down there called The Barefoot Pelicans? I think?

Did your bro-inlaw parents like going to the Aquarium in Clearwater? I hear it's pretty cool.
Um, Gregory said when he went through Miami that people seemed upset. Or not happy or something to that effect. I don't know what that's about.

Hey, if a tob has been vocal for a while, does it wear it prematurely, or is it just noisy?

All of Florida is is touristy unfortuneately. It still is a great place to live. My brother in laws parents are more of a casino type than aquarium type lol. I’m sure they’ve been before though they do a lot. They flip houses for a living so they always have extra cash.

When talking about Miami he might have been referring to the Cuba libre thing going on. It was getting to the point where they were shutting down roads. How that was going to help them who knows… Let’s just say they’re a different type of people over there.

Man, I'll be honest, Scientologists really give me the creeps, but I'd be the last one to talk smack on someone willing to help out other peeps in need.
So there's always that.

You know, I always thought flipping houses sounded fun and lucrative. And kinda more like an adventure.
If I missed my calling, that would explain why I'm not retired and living in Florida!

All I know is Gregory has very little negative things to say about Fla. and seems genuinely thrilled about how it's being governed politically. He says if Cali was like Florida, people wouldn't want to secede. *shrug*

Rather off topic question, but...
does Florida have problems with rusty cars from salt in the air?

I was Naval Air and learned one thing about being stationed in Virginia real quick. EVERY vehicle around Virginia beach was corroded from the salty atmosphere.
Is that just the nature of the beast for all coastal cities or does weather patterns exempt some coasts?

We have one of, if not the best governors in the US right now. He was a prosecutor for the state for years so he’s very pro law, which helps me. He also looks out for his people especially the middle and lower classes. He’s very smart and articulate and will call out bs. He’s done great things for the state, everyone wants to move here now. Now if he could do something about housing prices…

If you live right on the water salt could be an issue but no it’s not really an issue. I haven’t seen many rusted cars around here. It could be the weather patterns around here with the offshore breeze most of the day but that’s pure speculation.

Well, if the wind blows OUT to the shore, that would certainly explain that.

Your entire first paragraph sounds like it could have come from Gregory's mouth ver batim. I'm sure he would find you a kindred soul.

Maybe I need to rethink things. Some people just gush about winter wonderlands and love living in cold temperatures. I'm more inclined to say I think the perfect winter sport is climbing aboard a plane to the Keys!

Funny, I’m tired of this heat. I don’t want to leave the state so I’m thinking of moving to the panhandle. Eventually I might move further north but I like living in Florida too much.

I don't blame you a bit there brother!

Hey, I think that grease finally worked its way in because it's a little quieter! But by pressing about 5 lbs of pressure on the clutch, I can tell it really does need to be adjusted.

It's supposed to be in the 70's tomorrow and then drop down cold towards the end of the week. I'm going to try to get that spring on tomorrow since I'm changing my oil back to 5W-20 for the winter and have to be under there anyway. (I run a full bottle of Lucas Oil stabilizer/stopleak in my summer oil, too gooey in the frigid temps of Kansas Decembers)

Man I've GOT to get a dust cover on that trany!!
