Small gap between oil pan and brand new 351 timing cover, normal or can it be fixed?

I recently installed a 351 timing cover onto my 94 gt 302 and I thought they were interchangeable but it seems as off its closer on the right side then it is the left, is this normal or does it need to be fixed in anyway? Thank you!

Why didn’t you use your sn95 timing cover ?

i marked in blue, that seal may not be fully seated in the channel of the timing cover
i normally run a bead of silicone in the oil pan channel and a bead between the pan and the cover and smooth it over with your finger
