Smell of gasoline near front of Engine...

Check the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Mine had a very rich smell from the front of the engine and my o ring on my FPR was bad.

Where is the fuel pressure regulator located? I have a similar problem with the gas smell.

same thing on my 94 when i pulled the trans out, ended up just being an exhuast leak due to the fact that i had to remove certain pieces of the exhuast when i pulled the tranny, and i shittydickd it back together just to get it on the road.. im gonna say think simple in your troubleshooting before you start throwing parts at it
