FYI the stock axles are good to 550 TQ.

less if you'd doing super launches with slicks.

From what' I've heard swaping the axles is the way to go, but you have to get the inside part too, plus install, it's about 700 bucks last time I checked.

stock axles will NOT handle 550 ft.lbs TQ...i know from experience

That's what they're rated at!
AND i said right under that, LESS if your doing hard launches.

ya, 31 splines is the way to go.

i dont consider a 4k rpm clutch dump with drag radials a "hard launch" but thats what broke my axle on a fairly stock motor

Hey I didn't rate them.
if you run slicks and launch - upgrade em.

It's kind of like arguing about what HP engines break, there's no set rule, but they rate them too.

I've seen guys snap the stock with 300rwhp and i've seen guys on DR's with 400rwhp make dozens of launches and no issues...with those axles its a crap shoot...

I went with Moser 31 spline and Auburn Pro differential.
