Sorry to repeat, but does anyone know what this plug is for?

Hi all,

So I have a plug that has mysteriously appeared at the front of the car from the bumper, as per the below.

IMG_20220607_194828393.jpg

I'm wondering if it's for a fog light which I don't have. If so, I would assume there's one the other side too.

But where would the other end be for a switch? I have the 1994 V6 Convertible so would assume the switch goes in the centre console near the roof switch but there's a coin slot there...

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks as ever.

I'm not sure that V6 models ever had fog lights, but yes that is a 9006 connector for fog lights.

I didn't think they did either. Hence the confusion!

Yup fog light harness.
Yes, you can purchase the switch, and fog lights. The full harness is already in the car.

I thought they ran the same general wiring harness and then yes just threw in a switch, relay, fuse and then the lights/brackets.

Thats for fog lights
But if it did not come with the switch and harness inside the car
It dose not have them the fog light wire are tucked under the bumper cover
Some of the cars did come with the full kit from switch to light

You could probably even find a slot for fuse or relay that is for the lights but empty

Next step is to pop out the center console(the inner portion) and you can peak in and see if the harness is there.

Yup, the plug for the fog lights should be right under one of your coin holders in your console.

they did a lot of cost cutting in that time. The door panels on the earlier versions were a little nicer imo as they were not just all solid plastic.

The relay is missing and so is the bridge in the fuse block. Yes, switch is in the center console, if you pull your fuse box out of the engine and flip it, you can add the parts to the fuse block and wire up the fog lights
