Speaker crossover location

I'm replacing my mach 460 system. Is it a big deal if I place them close to the amp instead of the speakers?

makes no difference in sound but you will need to run the woofer and tweeter wire from there to the speakers. If you can try to let them breath a little as they can develop heat if your really jamming on them....

Just keep the main power away from the RCA, that's only the real noise issue you need to worry about...
