Speedometer Correction Help!!!!

Hi, I'm about to get my 4.10 gears installed on my 96 Mustang GT 5 SPD Manual (T-45), like in 2 days. How do I correct my Speedometer???? I already tried asking Bama tunes, they said they can't do it. Now I'm confused because all over the internet is saying either saying change the tooth speedgear, or get speedcal, but which one is the correct one?

Either one will do. There are calculators that will help determine which speedo gear you need. If getting a speedcal you’ll either need to buy used or get one from Abbott.

Ok if I don’t do it. The speedometer will be incorrect. But since I have SCT Flash tuner and it can display my MPH would that be reading correctly? Or that be affected the gear ratio change?

It would also be incorrect since it’s reading from the same signal that needs to be adjusted.

This'll help...

I have the same 4.10 setup and the trans gear resolved my issue years ago, before I changed the gauge face which required the SGI-100BT. So you don't necessarily need to spend a lot of money to take care of your specific problem. Just the plastic trans gear will do.

That chart is very misleading. Ford used 3 different drive gears.
