splash guard install

I bought some splash guards for the rear of my car from CJ pony parts. They are a Ford P/N part with the Mustang outline but came with F150 instructions. I have looked and not found any instructions on-line. CJ said to ask my local Ford dealer? That seems an unhelpful response.

Agreed. That’s an extremely unhelpful response. Maybe check for instructions or tutorials on the following: LMR (Late Model Restorations), YouTube, OE Ford parts suppliers online ir possibly even Ford dealership Parts Departments for pdf’s.

Did you try a mock-up? Sometimes it becomes readily apparent how to install at which point instructions aren’t necessary.

They probably install using factory holes from the inner tire wheel wells

I installed some splash guards on my impreza that were universal. Do you have some clips/tabs you want to hang it from? There were two tabs I used and to locate them in the right place I taped a couple pieces of paper together and then cut it out so it was the same size as the guard. I then used some tape to hold the paper up where I wanted it and used a pencil to mark the spots where I needed to drill. After that it was as simple as drilling two holes and the tabs lined up perfectly.

If those are like mine, subaru made a set that could just be slapped on but at $130 for 4 pieces of plastic, 2 metal clips and the logo embossed in it made them a bit too rich for me. The universal type was $24.
