Hey guys, got problem with driver side door, when I open it, there is a pretty loud and annoying squeak. I think it's coming form that rubber that compresses on the lower door hinge, and I've tried spraying it with WD-40 a couple of times in the past, but now it's just super annoying. Is there anything that people usually do, aside from replacing the hinge itself?

well then after the wd40 you have stripped all the grease/lubricant off of it. People think that it is a lubricant but it isn't. It has some short term lubricating properties but it is actually classified as a solvent and once it dries off the lubrication and any grease prior is gone. I start cleaning the drivetrain on my bike by soaking it in wd40 to strip all the old grease off of it. Then wipe it down and then regrease it. Try some grease on it instead.

There was one day I came home and my garage door opener was just making MUCH more noise than it usually did. I could not help but notice how clean the chain was, and that there were some spots directly under it as though someone had just sprayed the chain down with wd40. I asked my g-friend and her sister that lived with us in confusion because I had a hard time getting them to just clean up after themselves, let alone do any kind of maint on the house(it was in my name). To my surprise her sister spoke up and proudly announced that she had a can a wd40 in her hand for some reason about her car, saw the chain and thought she would help..... Like I said the chain looked clean.

I had that problem and sprayed white lithium grease on the door hinges (window regulators too), quieted them right up.

Lithium grease is much more long term than WD-40, just a little messy if you aren’t careful.

This right here will buy you a lot of time until you can work up to hardware replacement. CJ, LMR, etc have the replacement door bushings/hinges. Just whatever you do don't buy from American Muscle. They suck and they're crooks too.

I would certainly start with the grease myself. If you do not already have a tube, ya should or you might need to tear a corner off your man card. I put that stuff everywhere.... Ok not EVERYWHERE but you know what I mean.
