I’ll check the belt, but it should be fine (good as new) as it was replaced with engine build less than 1k ago. But you never know. Maybe I got a bad one. Either way, I’ll take your advice and get an extra to have on hand. Sage advice!

Have to fess-up on the A/C clutch. Where’s that??

Buy a mechanic's stethoscope. (lisle makes a good one) You will find any noisy bearing real quick. Also works well to identify squeaking ball joints.

I sprayed some belt conditioner in the belt grooves. Didn’t help.

take a real close look down the belt/pullies and make sure that one isn't off a little bit. While your down there give the pullies a good look and see if anything sticks out as maybe bad.

I’m also going to re-bleed the brakes tomorrow (correctly this time!) using the kit I bought.
If all goes well, I will start the R&R on the new high torque starter.

if your using that power bleeder just keep on sucking/filling and it will work.
Yeah, it’s got a trigger handle kinda like you’d see on a garden hose, then a short tube, the catch can, then a LONG tube that I guess goes to the bleeder valve on top of each caliper. You just turn the top of the catch can to change the direction (vacuum or filling). Got it at NAPA($46). I have a buddy coming over to help tomorrow around 10am PST. He also used to work at a brake shop “back in the day” so I’m thinking he probably knows how the procedure goes.

hold the trigger on the power bleeder and pinch the line going to the caliper on/off. It helps it build a little more pressure and helps to pull more air.
