I want to add some 18 x 8 and 18 x 10 rims on my '94 GT convertible. I see pictures on-line of the rear rims/tires sticking out of the wheel well. I definitely don't want that! ;) I want them to fit inside the wheel well. The rear rims are 10" and here are the details:
Offset:0.94 Inches, 24mm
Backspacing:6.30 Inches, 160mm

Most likely wont be able to use the quad shocks and high probability youll need to beat the inner wheel well with a hammer in a few spots so that the tire doesnt rub. Oh and 100% will need to roll the fender lip.

If you live close, you could borrow my fender roller.

What if I went with 18 x 9's and 275's?

My 255/40ZR-18 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06's for the front just showed up today and they look pretty wide compared to the stock 245's that came on the car...........

Before you choose the rim and tire size, you should consider the issues created by a staggered rim and tire setup. Staggered rims and tires add understeer to a car that came from the factory with understeer. If you're using the car for performance driving, the handling will be worse with a staggered setup. When pushed to the limit of traction, the car will have more grip in the rear than in the front, which means it will plow.

This can also create issues during daily driving when you have to make an evasive maneuver.

I'm not a fan of removing the quad shocks to fit larger rear tires. Having a functioning set of quad shocks (most OEM quad shocks are bad by now) is better than having none on the car.

You can get a sense of how different rims will fit on the car by using https://www.willtheyfit.com to determine where the new rims will sit in relation to what you have on your car.

There's also information in this video that will help you make your decision:

If you have any questions, please ask.

My car is used for pleasure driving only, just like the look of staggered rims/tires............

I'm lowered with Eibach Sportlines on 17x9 and 17x10.5 Cobra R reps (from Summit) with Nitto 555G2 245s in the front and 315s in the rear. I flipped my quad shocks but didn't remove them, and didn't roll the rear fenders. I've had it rub a couple of times when taking an uphill turn faster than I should or if it's rough. I haven't pushed the car super hard in the turns, but I do drive "spirited" on occasion. No issues worse than what came from the factory - meaning, it does have a good bit of understeer if you push real hard. But, you've really got to be after it to get to that point.

when I had my 17" 10.5 bullit wheels I didn't need to remove the quad shock with 315s on it. I got them used and I have no idea what the backspace was but it is not required with all wheels.

I run a 10" wheel with a 6.5" back space with a 275 tire. Clears the fender well

If you go to a website like LMR.com, they have 18”staggered tire/wheel sets which have no fitment issues.
You can at least get an idea what will fit and order if you like. I got my 17” FR500 staggered set of 4 from them then sourced a better price on the same tires (Nitto NT555 G2). I did not have to remove the quad shock. It’s in its stock orientation with no fitment issues.2AE09D9E-8F80-40F0-8508-3965307395AB.jpegC93C927F-333C-4256-9000-527193C3BA12.jpeg22AFCD15-EB06-45CC-9B5F-C90F3F6EB659.jpeg87FAF652-FB36-48E0-8F01-091085494887.jpeg38CA43AF-EB98-4DA0-A4D6-DD7140B660A5.jpeg

17x9 up front with 275-40-17s
17x10.5 in rear with 315-35-17s, ran quad shocks flipped around for years but they still rubbed a little now and then. Removed them and don’t notice a difference.
