A friend of mine just picked up his first mustang last week.

a little backstory on the car:
found this 2001 Performance Red V6 5-speed on craigslist not running. it was an One Owner car, with a ton of paperwork. Including all the Steeda receipts that were ordered from the Ford dealer the same day the papers were signed for the car. as well as some other good parts, all bought and installed within the same week as delivery in 2001.

engine was replaced by Ford through insurance after the owner hydrolocked the original. the new motor now has 100k miles and the car has a total of 228k and is in fantastic shape.

towed the car home, put a new battery in, and found pump would not turn on. installed a new pump and she purrs like a kitten

grand total of $1500 for car, $100 for battery, and $70 for fuel pump

car came with a broken cobra r front bumper (car used to have a Steeda front splitter)

rest of the car has:
Mac intake
Mac Longtube Headers
Mac Off Road H-pipe
Steeda side exit catback
Steeda stripe package (side stripe, trunk sticker) windshield and front fender stickers were originally on car but are now gone
Steeda Tri-ax shifter
Steeda functional rear wing
Steeda hood pin
Brembo cross drilled rotors
Mach 1 grille delete

car is very clean other than front bumper and the rear wing and rear bumper paint

front bumper was replaced with a torch red bumper for now and i supplied my old 2000 headlights

next project is fixing seized brakes and balljoints

Great car to transform, what are the over-all long-term goals for this car?

Gonna keep working some links out. Repaint the wing, front and Rear bumper. Steeda wing needs original winglets, custom flames dont look great.

Freshen up the suspension, 8.8 swap, and probably a procharger. He's gonna reorder the steeda stickers that are missing. Maybe a new steeda splitter that was originally on the car. But they are expensive and might just get a mach chin.

Car is great shape. Interior is mint and no rattles. Possibly get a tmi mach 1 seat kit in the medium parchment to match

Mini update.

Both front brake calipers were replaced. They were definitely seized. Car was misfiring bad, found a spark plug wiggled loose, tightened it down and run fantastic.

Car is now tagged and insured. Suspension is next up, it's staying parked until the balljoints are replaced

Limped my green car to my shop with a shattered throw out bearing so I can change the clutch and bearing. Once that's done, it'll be up for sale so I can officially own the Steeda
