My junkyards would have piles and piles of 5.0 engines, transmissions and such... ...and would tell customers that they’re not allowed to sell anything from that pile. They were required to crush/melt that all down by the feds. #ThanksBush

That was of course, if they would even carry my car. Seems that there’s a 15-20 year happy spot. Meaning, if you went somewhere before 2009, they wouldn’t have have SN95s, because your car was too new! (They would actually tell me this as if it were a compliment). Then, after say 2014, they wouldn’t have my car because they didn’t carry anything “that old.”

Ya I hear you it dose suck
I believe the main reason for these junk yards to do what they do [ sale ] is the people cross the border and charge the tax to them coming and going
These guys from across the border are going as far as Montana to bring those vehicles back to Mexico there is money in old cars

Any thing I can get a hold of for mustang's and older f series trucks I look around
For my 97 lariat 4x4 I needed a wire harness and found one mint for 140 and picked up seats for it at same time for 75 bucks for fronts not leather seats but fabric just needed steam cleaning

So, I know some of you folks have used he FR500 wheels. My GT's wheel is leather, and in good shape, but I find it to be too skinny, and the leather is quite shiny/slick to the touch. Are the FR500 wheel rims thicker? Better padding. I know they are vinyl instead of leather, but the newer vinyls are pretty good.

The Reproduction FR500 is way nicer, softer and thicker than my stock cobra wheel plus it looks great. It's the main touch point in the car.

agreed, i'm so much more about the steering wheel now, its weird. I used to hardly notice the steering wheel, now i notice every wheel i touch a lot more.

So i absolutely hate the stock steering wheel in my car. Mostly because its worn around the top but i don't like the color also. So i'm wondering if anyone has some good alternatives? Mine is the worn out version of this.

I like the replica FR500 wheel that LMR and AM sell, but have never seen one in person. So i'm not sure how it feels. But it looks good.

Our new Tiguan has this one, which i really like. Feels great and looks good.

I'm thinking about the LMR/SVE FR500 wheel. Does anyone happen to have pics of one in a car with Opal Gray interior?

Cruise control works and no airbag light. It was not easy though. Or cheap to do. Lots of custom parts were made. But real happy with the outcome.

This is not the best picture but I have an old school, Momo steering wheel that I had leather wrapped. I have the NRG short hub and their quick release 2.0. Honorable mention is the Carter’s Customs column filler plate. I’m may change the red screws out to black, idk

Here is what I came up with for a filler plate.

I have never heard of the Carter's Customs column filler. How does it look?
