what came stock on 94 -95's
need to prove my point
help me out
If you ever wondered what gears your car has stock. Look at the door tag inside the driver side door. this applies only to the 86-95 5.0
Where it says AX on the far right on the bottom it will say 1 of the following 3 letters. M,Z and E.
Obviously your door tag has to be intact to beable to get the info this way.
Hope this helps some people that always wondered what rear gear ratio there car originally came with or still currently have.
If you dont have either of those, jack up the car, mark a line on the rear tire it dose not matter which side, then make a mark on the driveshaft, rotate the tire one full turn while counting how many times the driveshaft goes around.
Some were diffrent then others I think most were 3.08s?
i manually rotated my tire and counted the driveshaft revolutions my 95 is stock with a 3.08, but like they said thats not the only option.
there is also a tag on one of the bolts on the differential cover saying what the ratio is
I believe cobra's came with 3.08's stock and it was an option with the gt's.
most 94-95 came with 2:73
most fox bodys come with 3.08
If the letter codes above are right, my 94 gt auto came with 3.27 stock?
it could come with them, they were an option.
My vert came w/ 2.73's
wrong, thats the other way around. Worked in a junkyard for 3 years, almost all the foxes that came through were 2.73, almost all snives were 3.08s
my old 95 gt vert aode came with 2.73 also
My 1995 Mustang GT with an AODE came with 3.27 Gears.
My 95 GT had 2.73's and the Cobra came w/ 3.27's but 3.73's now reside there
Mine has code E=3.27's w auto trans
I had a '93 LX 5 spd. w/ the 3:08's a few years ago.
