Local speedway here hosts 100' drags (yes 100 feet) talk about a quick race, never bothered to go because if you aren't running slicks or driving AWD it's pretty much a waste of time

Here is one of my runs from last season, as you can see I ran a 8.522 1/8 mile, 13.116 1/4 mile and a 11.021 1000' so those extra feet do make a world of difference

its all we have for local tracks. We have an airport that is pretty sleep and has a huge runway and I can't help but wonder what it would take to get one of those runway time trials there....

You need to get down to Ohio Valley when they have the x275 shootout. They have pro mod races there also that are alot faster...but i prefer backhalved cars over them. The x275 class has no shortage of mustangs, and sn95s seem to be gaining more popularity

Ohio valley is so ran down tho. The track officials do a horrible job of making sure the track stays clean and I've seen some awesome cars in bad wrecks due to it.

For around a 2 hour drive id rather go up to Claremont/Indy or 1.5 hours to beech bend. Those are both 1/4 as opposed to Ohio valleys 1/8 mile.
