depends on how bad it stripped it , if not to bad maybe a tap , if treads are missing a lot
me personally i dont like Heli coils
we sent one crank in that was bad to a machine shop it had to be welded in and drilled to tap
pretty expensive for a cobrajet 429 crank

If you have the original bolt
Take it to granger or a bolt place match it and get the tap that goes with it size wise
You can clean up the threads with it

You just need to use a tap to chase the threads. Not a big deal.

Try to measure how many good threads you have left in the crank. Ideally, with steel, you want at least one diameter's worth of threads to develop the full strength of the new bolt.

Thank you all ive bought a tap and die set and have retapped the cranks snout so when the pulley is off completely the bolt goes in no issue but now my new issue is the installer will not thread in so ive opted for a 12-1.5-60mm in hopes of it installing the new pulley
