when you add p.i heads to a teksid block do you still get the compression bump? and what vehicles do they come in?

Teksid come in 4v cars prior to 2001. The continental teksid is a fwd block and will not work. I can't recall the piston info but someone else will chime in on that

I believe the 4V pistons have a -3cc dish, so adding P.I. heads to a Teksid shortblock is going to bump the compression up to somewhere around 12:1. They are in the 96-98 Cobras and I believe some of the 99 Cobras came with the Teksid, and the Lincoln Mark VIIIs had them from 93-98...

^ All 99 cobras came with the teksid.

Some have also reported that a very small number of the early 01 cobras came with the teksid before they switched over to the WAP, but nobody I know has been able to confirm this.

Good info here! Great to see!

96248acode....what plans are you thinking? Dont be afraid of compression even with stock pi cams.

The block itself has nothing to do with it, if you are talking about a 4V bottom end, yeah the compression does go up, I forget how much. I've got a Teksid out of a 98 Cobra on a stand in the garage I was going to build... with the price of Coyote pullouts and Coyote rebuild candidates... probably going to just Coyote swap it.

I think he means drill not drive. On the drivers side deck surface, you will need to drill a 9/16" hole for coolant to pass through. If you lay a 2v gasket on the block you will see where it should be. Its at the front of the head mounting surface on the top...
