I am considering upgrading my radar detector and was curious if/what I could sell mine for. I currently have a whistler pro 3450 remote radar detector that I have integrated into the clock pod on my 94 gt. It give a great look and is still fully functional while not having to worry about it being stolen. The pic below is just of the display that I mounted. There is also a radar sensor(goes on the mirror) and a radar sensor(front bumper with a bracket to mount it. Finally there is a temp sensor that I ran up right behind the pony logo in the grill. Its worked perfectly for me all this time I am just considering upgrading to a GPS unit with a laser shifter built in(escort 9500Ci). I will include pics of where I mounted the radar sensor to make it easy for you and then short of running the cables all you will need to do is slap the pod on the dash and yer done!

I would like to get $200 for the package shipped to your door, as well as trading your for your current clock pod(you can keep the clock and sell it if you want). There is also an LED mounted on the top of the pod to hook up to an alarm, otherwise it isn't noticed much.

in all honesty, do you really speed enough to justify spending a grand on a radar detector?

to the general public it is. After you work in the automotive electronics game for a few years(15'ish) you make some friends that come across deals that pass them on from time to time. Didn't pay near a grand for it and of course that will be offset by the sale of this one.

So your interested in the whistler I am selling then?

I am not a big speeder either especially around here as our expressway throug town has 28 stop lights and our interestate that crosses it has 20 stop lights as well as a 45 mph zone through most of it and they are pretty well traveled by everyone from the commuters to cops to keep you from having any real fun. On top of that the exhaust is pretty quiet until you get north of 3k rpms and then anyone near by will not be left wondering what is going on. With all that being said though if/when I do get the chance to have some fun I want to try and keep from getting busted and this is the best system out now. I too could no justify a grand for a radar detector but after selling this one I will have no where near that into it.

anyone interested in making an offer feel free to pm me and we can work something out. I know that someone would like to have it and its just a matter of working out a price.

I have a deal pending on it already and should know for sure later this week. If you like that one wait till I do the new one. My current plan is to flush it back into the clock pod where the whistler was and smooth it all out so it looks like the overhead display with the gloss black just diappearing into the plexi display of the detector.

although the more I look around I keep finding installs where they mounted the display in the rear view mirror so it shined through it and it looks cool as hell.... I already have another clock comming so I could put it back in but man would that seem wierd now.
