So heres the quick story of how I acquired this car. I went to California to pick up my brother from an internship and a little vacation and browsed craigslist before I went and saw this 2002 Zinc GT for $4000. I contacted him telling him ill be there in a couple days and i am interested in buying it. Got there, called him and asked him if he could meet at my hotel. He said yes, so when he got there I looked it over. Has its fair share of scratches and dings. Spoiler was missing, drivers seat was ripped, needed a new trans mount and had the INFAMOUS intake manifold crack so it was leaking coolant. Long story short after I test drove and thought it over for a night I picked it up for $2900, but had to have it shipped back. I didn't want to chance it overheating driving 1600 miles. Clean title 166,000 miles and it runs damn good. You can tell fenders, front and rear bumpers were repainted, so ill have to do something about that soon. Things already done: *3.73s *Shitty short shifter (will be replacing) *BBK CAI *99-01 Cobra Gauges *Mach 1 Grill Delete Things I've done so far: *Aluminum Intake Manifold (probably the best thing to buy ever and i got it for $200!) *Mac Pro Chamber H-pipe *Accel Coil Packs *SVE Rear Tubular Control Arms *Pink Top Injectors *Front Chin Spoiler *New Trans Mount *Rear Roush Bilstein Shocks *Kenny Brown Sub Frame Connectors *Came With a Diablo Predator Tuner so I'm using this to turn off rear o2s, egr and install a tune *Did buy black 18x9 and 18x10 saleens but decided to sell them. Also just scored a front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, spoiler, headlights, almost new Mac catback exhaust and some other random things for $350! Good score IMO Plans: *On3Performance Turbo Kit will be getting purchased in the next few weeks *QA1 K member *Some other things Coming off the truck Next day Saleens mounted Now on bullitts tip new wheels Other pics
Welcome to the forums. Sounds like a good deal and a good start. It will be killer when you get the turbo.
